On July 6, 2019 the now famous Rag ‘n’ Bone Man was back at the Montreux Jazz Festival (MJF) where, in 2016, his career was jumpstarted. In July 2016. his album Human was released and immediately made it to the top of the British charts. That month, his memorable MJF gig gave him a real boost. At the media conference of the festival’s 50th anniversary, the Montreux Jazz Festival Director Mathieu Jaton himself presented the then largely unkown British artist to the festival’s international media and public.

Last year, because of problems with his voice, the Rag ‘n’ Bone Man could not perform at the MJF. However, Saturday, a visibly emotional Rory Graham was back in Switzerland, entertaining an enthusiastic crowd at Auditorium Stravinski.

Additionally, the Rag ‘n’ Bone Man was awarded Double Platinum in Switzerland for the Album Human, which had many it to number 1 in many charts around the globe, including countries such as Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Netherland, France, Ireeland, Scotland and, of course, Switzerland, to mention just a few. Check our 2017 article in German for his biography.

Among the 19 tracks of his album Human I particularly like his title song as well as soulful and dramatic „Arrow“ as well as „Die Easy“ and the bonus tracks „The Fire“ and „Wolves“.

Long live the man born in Uckfield, East Sussex with his soul and blues voice!
