The House of Commons rejected all 8 motions of the evening

Today, March 27, 2019 the House of Commons had the chance to agree on a way forward regarding the Brexit mess. The MPs voted down all 8 motions. In other words, no option found a majority.

Here the results:

No deal was voted down with 160 votes in favor and 400 against.

The Common market 2.0 option was rejected by 188 votes in favor and 283 against.

The EFTA and EEA motion was voted down by 65 votes in favor and 377 against.

The customs union motion was rejected by 264 MPs in favor and 272 against. This was the closest vote of the evening.

Labour chief Jeremy Corbyn’s alternative plan was voted down by 237 votes in favor and 307 against.

Revoke Artikel 50, surely the easiest and best solution, the best deal available which, in addition, would mean it would be over, no further negotiations and no approval by the other 27 EU members needed, was voted down with 184 votes in favor and 293 against the motion.

The option of a second referendum was rejected by 268 MPs voting in favor and 295 rejecting it. If parliament cannot agree on anything, why not give the voters the chance to express themselves?

The two-year standstill motion was voted down with 139 votes in favor and a massive 422 MPs voting against this motion.
